Biddenden is a typical English village, set in the picturesque countryside. 2 miles away from Spill Land Country Park.
There are 2 free car parks, 1 with public toilets and the other bigger car park in the Recreation Ground. Latticed windowed Flemmish weavers cottages stretch the full length of the south side of the High Street, which is flanked on both sides by fossilized stone quarried long ago from nearby Bethersden from which it gets its name (Bethersden marble).
There is a pub called The Red Lion, which serves delicious home-cooked food, the Bakehouse Café and a well-stocked corner shop in the village, along with a bus stop.
7 miles away from the park, Tenterden known as the ‘Jewel of the Weald’ offers the best of all worlds; fascinating history, a wealth of architecture and excellent shopping – all within everyone’s idea of a typical country town and surrounded by Kent’s tranquil countryside.
Tenterden is also a fascinating town to explore. Georgian buildings share the streets with tall Victorian houses and tiny cottages; brick and stucco blend easily alongside traditional Kent tile and weatherboard, creating a timeless air.
